Banting & Best: Your Fellow Alumni

The med school experiences of Drs. Frederick Banting (1T7) and Charles Best (2T5)
In May 1921, Dr. Frederick Banting, a 29-year-old surgeon with no research training, and Charles Best, a 22-year-old student enrolled to start med school that fall, opened the door to the lab that U of T had assigned them. It was filthy!
If the health sector were a country, it would be the 5th largest greenhouse gas emitter on the planet.
